Christmas Giveaway Day 10: Custom Handmade Dress from The New "Normal"

Photobucket

Today's giveaway comes from a sweet blogger who quickly became a friend-Kris from The New "Normal". Kris stayed so strong, raising her cute kiddos (that's her daughter, above, as her model!) while her husband was away on deployment. She blogged through it all, and I was so amazed by her perseverance and grace. Somehow, she's managed to find time to sponsor a giveaway, too! I want to congratulate her again for getting her husband home safely and just in time for Christmas!

Here is a little bit about Kris and her fashion designing:

There's just something about having a little girl that makes you want to dress them up in the cutest and funnest clothing. But these days, those unique, boutique style clothes are just way out of the budget. After splurging on one of these boutique pieces, a knot dress and ruffle pants, I took a closer look at them and thought that between my mom and me, we could sew my daughter a whole wardrobe full of these outfits. After a few missed attempts to get it right, we finally found a few patterns that worked and began sewing all sorts of unique tops, dresses, and pants for my daughter. My mom is the master seamstress of our operation, while I choose the fabrics, patterns and styles. We are having a lot of fun with it and I'm hoping to open an Etsy shop at some point, but up until know my daughter has been the only one to wear one of these outfits! I'm excited for someone else to receive one and let us know what they think!

"The winner of this giveaway will receive a knot dress in the same fabric and style as the one in the photo. The fabric is a light-weight corduroy, perfect for fall and winter! It can be worn with a shirt underneath for warmth or without a shirt in warmer weather. The dress will be custom made to the size needed, up to a size 8 (girls). For larger sizes, the fabric may vary depending on how much we have of this design. The winner will be contacted after the giveaway is over to get measurements and size. We will then custom make the dress to the size needed, allowing us a few days to sew and ship it. Please keep in mind, this is a handmade item and we are still in the learning stages! While we think our dresses look pretty perfect, they are not store bought and each is unique in it's own way! (The giveaway is for the dress only- pants are not included.)"

Can you say adorable? Whether this is for a toddler (I'm totally picturing it on Millie) or older girl, I think it would be so darling! I absolutely love handmade clothes for kids, but lack the skills myself, so I'm completely won over.
