Friday Fill In

It's been hard sleeping lately (I was up until 4:30 am this morning!) so I thought I would do this to pass the time. So here goes:

1. What food reminds you of your spouse? Lemon cake. It didn't used to- lemon cake has always been my favorite kind of cake. But when we talked about meeting for the first time, Sky mentioned he would be asking his step dad to make me one. I thought this was really funny and really odd. But true to his word, there was a lemon cake waiting for me that first weekend, made before they even met me. It is absolutely fabulous. Sky's made it for me once after he came home, too. :)
2. Who would you rather sit next to in a cross-country plane ride: an irritating non-stop talker, or a quiet stare-er? The talker. I can't handle creepy staring. Talkers, however, aren't always bad. A little known fact is that my first beer was on an airplane. A guy couldn't believe I hadn't had one before (I was a pretty sheltered kid), so he and the flight attendant got a good laugh out of it, and he bought me one. We had a long flight, so the conversation was welcome.
3. What are your best tips on how to save money? Buy generic. Except for a few things (Oreos, Doritos, and Windex- I'm convinced of these), there is no point to spending tons more for exactly the same thing. Half the time, they're made by the same company anyway.
4. What is your favorite summer memory? So far, I would say last summer. I sat on hot bleachers in a big crowd, and I watched some soldiers march from a bus to the front of all of us. One of those guys was my brother. The other one turned out to be the man I married.
5. Do you believe in ghosts? I think so. I never really think about it until I watch a scary movie or something, but you never know.
