December 2 Writing.
What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it?
(Author: Leo Babauta)
I would say being a mom, honestly- it'd probably be much easier to be a writer if I was locked in a home office without any distractions. But that is no fun at all, and I wouldn't trade her for more writing time (or anything else in the world).
However, I used to write a lot more poetry than I do now, and it has nothing to do with Amelia. I've just gotten lazy, I suppose. I've published some of my poems lately (here, here, here, and there will be a few poems and photos for MFSO in the near future), but they are all older ones, and I'd like to write more of them (and hopefully, better ones!). So maybe that should be a goal for the new year: write more poetry.
Yes.
