A few days ago, it was warm enough for Millie to go swimming. And swimming is always more fun when you add a little bubble bath to the water.
She has always called them "baw-bees". And I loved it. It was one of those melt-my-heart words.
But then suddenly, they are just "bubbles". She says it clearly and with certainty, as if she's never said anything else. I say, "baw-bees?" and she corrects me. "Bubbles."
It's funny how these little moments inch her towards little girl and away from baby. If I think about it too long, my heart breaks a little.
But she always makes up for it with new things, exciting triumphs, and smiles.

Bubbles was one of Em's first words and she used to say it like that too!! They grow so fast.

yeah....the day comes that the cute little mis-said words disappear. it's sad. but yes, they always sprout new cute things...heh:)
