Day 20

Prompt: Beyond avoidance.
What should you have done this year but didn't because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? (Bonus: Will you do it?)Author: Jake Nickell

I'm sure most other bloggers have wise, meaningful answers that come from a deep and thoughtful place. This is not one of those answers.
Earrings. I was flipping though a girl's profile pictures on Facebook, and I noticed that she was large, dangling earrings in almost all of them. I hate chunky bracelets, and I loathe large necklaces, but I've always like long, shimmery earrings. I just never have the guts to wear them. I usually stick to fake diamond studs, the kind that you get 5 pairs of for $5 at Walmart. I'm always worried that big jewelry will make me look flashy or gaudy or something. But every single one of this girl's pictures were beautiful- really beautiful.

It's an extension of my shyness, really, so it's got to go. 2011, watch out. I will be blinding you with gigantic earrings.
