Day 9- Dial-a-Carol

Prompt: Party. 

What social gathering rocked your socks off in 2010? 

Describe the people, music, food, drink, clothes, shenanigans.

Per tradition, I just called Dial-a-Carol (run by the University of Illinois students, but they accept calls from all over the world), and requested my favorite song, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". On every 5th call, the students themselves sing instead of playing a recorded song- turned out I was the 5th call, so two or three people began to sing, softly and slightly off-key.

I ended up dissolving into tears. This is going to be a rough Christmas.

Clearly, I should not be blogging today.

So, I'm somewhat going to skip this prompt, since I didn't attend many parties anyway. Instead, I'm going to hum Christmas carols to myself and try to teach a few to Millie.
