In a Jam- Giveaway

My mother is one of the best cooks in the universe. I'm not exaggerating. I was a shy, awkward kid in high school, but managed to get a few people to talk to me by bringing my mom's homemade cinnamon bread to class. Kids who seemed to overlook my existence suddenly became close friends of mine when I'd bring a snack she had made. If any boys had crushes on me, I would bet that this was a huge factor.

She just (finally!) opened up shop on Etsy. She is well suited for it- she makes amazing food, cans everything, and is wonderful with sewing, quilting, crocheting, etc. The woman puts me to shame!

It seems like every time I get a package in the mail from her, a new flavor of jam is tucked inside. When she stayed with me during the week after Millie was born, I think I ate her apricot jam for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- it was that delicious. I'll let her tell you about the Apricot-Gooseberry-Spiced Wine Jam she is currently selling. 

"One-of-a-kind spread is made from fresh apricots, cane sugar, our own organically grown gooseberries, and my own spiced apple wine. The alcohol is removed during the cooking process, leaving behind a lovely, subtle spice flavor. The jam is processed according to USDA guidelines by an experienced (over 30 years) processor. Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and tart, especially on English muffins, toast, or ice cream. This is my own special recipe made with my very own one-of-a-kind wine, also my own recipe. The wine was made from a blend of locally grown Oregon apples we chose and picked ourselves. This spread will keep almost indefinitely, but is best used within one year."
