A Sock Monkey First Birthday: Part Three {The Cake Smash-Sort of}

We tried, more than once, to get Millie to smash her cake.
She wasn't afraid of the cake- there were no tears. She just didn't really care...

First attempt:

And she's gone.

Nope. Third try:

She still wasn't into it. So I dipped her toes in icing (just because I can), and we called it a wrap.

Cousins who were more than willing to help out.

It was still a beautiful day, messy cake or not.

Ha ha, it looks like she was more interested in the grass than smashing her cake. Well, she's very ladylike in that case. :)

Too funny that she didn't want to smash her cake :) Looks like her birthday turned out perfect. Happy first birthday Millie! Good job mama!

PS I love the pink plastic you used for the cake smash....I'm going to have to remember that one!

Hahaha!! Maybe that's foreshadowing that she'll be a neat kid? Let's hope! I know I was a slob..I don't know if I ever got the opportunity to smash a cake though...maybe that act was redirected..huh. hahah. In any case, the whole birthday looked like a good time! :)
