Sunny Day, Sweepin' the Clouds Away...

Sometimes, it's the simplest of moments. And recently, it was this one.

Millie isn't really allowed to watch much TV. She's not very interested anyway, and gets much more engrossed in books, thank goodness. The screen is usually dark while she's awake. But the other day, I turned Sesame Street on for her.

Just a half an hour of songs, animated alphabets, and Elmo, it wasn't quite the same as when I was little. Still, it was like she got to experience the littlest taste of my childhood. And though she probably won't love Bert and Ernie as much as I did, or adore Mr. Roger's Neighborhood that usually came afterwards, I love passing parts of my history onto her.

Insignificant and tiny bits, but I love sharing things together.

We don't turn our TV on much either, but it's cute when we do and they get to catch a glimpse of a good show or a sweet movie. L is becoming more and more into movies though, and asks me a few times a week - trying to teach her that it's a special treat - we like books much better around here :) Hey - you are using cloth diapers now? Why the switch? What kind are you using? How do you like it? We have been using cloth since L was 5 months old and although I sometimes get crabby about having to do diapers every other day, we really do love them!!!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels Sesame Street just isn't the same as it was when we were kids. I caught a few minutes of it the other day while distracting Sophia so I could get dressed and it was just *off*.

Do they still play Mr. Rogers? He was my favorite.

i've had baby fever really bad the past few days (i'm sure i'll come out of it in a day or two, lol) but to satisfy my hunger, i reasearch and read. as per my pinterest lately...ahem.....i am really thinking hard about doing cloth diapers someday when we have kids!! i don't mind doing laundry, and i remember how ew the old fashioned ones were because my younger sister and brother were in them for a wee bit. new ones....should be a better option. lol.
anyhow.
what kind of cloth diapers do you have a conglomeration of? i'm thinking of getting 6 here and there (SOMEDAY) from like 3-4 different brands (two of which are really inexpensive but work really well for newborn-6mos.)
