Prompt: Body integration.
This year, when did you feel the most integrated with your body? Did you have a moment where there wasn't mind and body, but simply a cohesive YOU, alive and present?
Author: Patrick Reynolds
Not a fan of this prompt. I'm always cohesive I guess?
So instead, a moment: as I was packing some things this morning, I picked up a jewelry box. It was my mom's when she was little (a rare thing, since they had a house fire that destroyed all but a couple photos, etc.). There are three drawers with painted-on flowers, and a ballerina with a now torn tutu. She spins around in tiny circles when the bottom drawer opens. As I lowered it into a cardboard box, the drawer must have slipped open, and the music began to sweetly chime- Edelweiss.
I stood there in the kitchen, and just listened until it finished playing. A little lightness in all this dark.

Short, sad, but sweet. Thanks for sharing this moment in your life with us.
ah, edelweiss.
it's such a simple, sweet, melancholy tune!
almost makes me want to watch Sound of Music. :]
