Newness

"And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been"

I've left last year in the dust, and I'm not looking back. Good riddance.

This year? I started to pull out a black sweater, per usual, but decided on a bright pink and white plaid shirt instead. I got a good night of sleep last night, thanks to Miss Millie. I had a good cup of coffee. I had no stupid Reverb10 prompt waiting for me in my email. I had berries in my cereal. I have tons of leftover Christmas candy, and a gift card to Starbucks from my awesome little brother. I have new socks.

This will be a good year. I know this because I will make it one.

And maybe certain days will suck, and maybe certain days will be awesome. (My first anniversary is coming up in a couple weeks. My daughter will (GASP!) turn a year old in the summer. I will inch closer to 30 years old. I'm not sure how I feel about any of those things.) It doesn't matter.

The year, as a whole, will be good.

I've promised myself no less.

"I had no stupid Reverb10 prompt waiting for me in my email." Ha ha! Starbucks gift card AND new socks? Perfect moment. I think your year will be great!

I can't believe how quickly 30 is approaching. In 2 short years we have our 10 year High School reunions. That's pretty crazy. And it sucks a little. But it's also good. :)

I'm glad this year started out great. I know you will make it a good one.
