Card Gnome: Cards & Heroes and a Giveaway!

I was recently contacted by Card Gnome, an online greeting card store. Their website says, "We thought we could do for greeting cards what NetFlix did for videos, bring the distribution online in a simple and easy to use way." Sounds intriguing!

The cards can be scheduled up to a year in advance or printed and shipping within 24 hours. They're also eco-friendly. When you purchase a card (at $4.99, which includes postage), it can be sent to a loved one (you can add a personal message), sent to yourself so you can hand deliver it, or you may buy cards in bulk.

But my favorite sending option is part of their awesome Cards and Heroes program- choose the "send to a hero" option, and Card Gnome and the Red Cross will send the card to a service man or woman overseas. Active military can also send cards back home to loved ones, whether for holidays or any special day. (Active service members with a .mil email address can also send one free card.) This sounds so perfect for all my active duty blog friends!

This is what Card Gnome says:
"We have been interested in bridging the gap between the digital world and the physical world for a long time. All of our cards are 5x7 and printed on 100# recycled semi-gloss cardstock (the same as high-end cards at the store). The semi-gloss paper, combined with our 2400DPI printers, make images pop while allowing people to easily write messages without smudging."

I'm a bit of a note card fanatic, so I was very excited about this: I have a code for 10 free greeting cards from Card Gnome to give one lucky winner. With the price of cards at $4.99 each, that's a $50.00 value! Whether you have friends and family next door or across the country, this would be a perfect opportunity to send cards for the holidays!

*I was not compensated for this post at all. I was given the free greeting card code solely for the winner.

I have to love the "Word I say" card. So very cute. I'm sometimes on one side of the newspaper, and sometimes on the other.

I love, "Keep Calm and Eat a Cupcake"-- One of my all time favorite sayings is, Keep calm and carry on. I love the twist to the saying.
