Reminder

Some days, I obsess over everything else.

I look at the college credits needed to earn my degree and I sigh. I check the bank account and worry. I browse the racks of clothes and shelves of things at the store and I'm convinced I am less without them. Sometimes, I look at everything and everyone else.

She reminds me that it's all so inconsequential.

There are only a few things in this life that will matter at the end. The hands I will hold as I slip away are among the most important.

Because, in my final hours, I will be thinking only of God. Of Millie. And of Sky.
And of how I lived my life to be a part of theirs.

  4. Oh my word, wait until you see my post for Friday! Similarities here for SURE, wow!

"thinking I'm less without them" totally can relate, I feel that way too about clothing or other things I don't have or talents I don't have. Isn't it hard sometimes?! I've come a long way, but still can really really suffer from this...especially since I started blogging. I seriously almost stopped blogging b/c it got so bad, I thought I had NOTHING to offer compared to all you amazing bloggers!
Satan is SO good AT lying!!!

  5. I needed this reminder. It can be so easy to get caught up in bank accounts and in what I "don't have" (pssh...who even cares?!) and in little, inconsequential things. But you are so right. There are only a few, very important things that truly matter.

  7. Always a good reminder. Thank you. It's so hard in the day to day events of life to stop and remember what's really important. You're right, the love of/for family and friends, that's what really matters.

People don't realize how much isn't going with them after they die. They aren't even taking their bodies!
Relationships matter! People matter! Ah! You bless my heart. :)
