Thanks, Julia

(source)
I generally don't blog photos or graphics from Pinterest- it's just not my style. But when Michelle (subscribe to her blog immediately, please) pinned this, I had to share it.

Because as a just-turned-28-year-old-girl who is still working on an associate degree, this graphic soothed my heart so much. I feel so behind sometimes, and thinking about Julia being frustrated with soufflés when she was a decade older gives me a little hope that I can do this now.

I love that we have more time than the deadlines we give ourselves.

YES! I thought the exact same thing when I saw that. It was a sigh of relief. I don't know why we think we have to have life figured out so early on. You're right. We have so much more time.

Love.

I definitely feel you on this. I'm also feeling the age and there are sure times I feel "behind" somehow. What a great reminder!

Thanks for the reminder. :) Sometimes I get really discouraged that I haven't "discovered myself" yet, but posts like this remind me that I've still got plenty of time.

Dude, George Eliot's first book? Not published until she was 38. It's really difficult to keep things in perspective in one's 20s, but we should keep trying. :)

I love this!! There are so many time that I feel behind the curve, but really who has a cookie cutter life that stays on track all the time? It took me 10 years to get my Bachelors, and I know that had I finished it years ago, I probably wouldn't feel the same sense of satisfaction that I do now. I think it's too easy for the world to think that we'll know the path were supposed to be on or want to be on at a young age. Sometimes the best things in life are those that take more time, or more wisdom that only comes with age and life experience. Thank you for sharing this...totally made my night!
