A Call to Write

source
As you all know, Sky will be away for Army training, and the date is looming closer. It will be the longest we've been apart (since I didn't meet him until halfway through his deployment), and obviously, will be a lot different now that Millie is here and baby the second is on the way.

I'm not intimidated by the time apart, but it is a little daunting thinking about how I'll manage parenting, school, and even things like a trip to the grocery store as the weather gets bad and I get more pregnant. My first instinct was to buy a thousand paper plates so I don't have to do dishes, get takeout menus from everywhere in this zip code, and get a few pairs of ultra-cozy sweatpants. I have a feeling it probably won't work out that way.

I want to do a week-long series on how people handle it all- focusing on being at home during long absences like these. I'd like to have some guest bloggers write about dealing with bigger things like car troubles, smaller things like bringing in the carload of groceries on your own, and taking care of little ones by yourself, as well as helping them deal with with missing a parent- the practical side of deployments and other time away.

If you'd be interested in writing one, let me know. I'd like to publish them in early January after the Christmas Giveaways have wrapped up.

And by the way- two giveaways end tonight! Make sure you're caught up with them, because there are lots more to come.

I'd like to write something about being alone with the baby for the first time. He was only gone 3 weeks for that, but it was a shock!

I'm willing to write something! I'm up for anything, while Rob hasn't been deployed he is gone a whole lot, and has been gone through pregnancies, births, multiple kids for the first time, new puppy, etc. Just let me know!

Let me know a topic and I'll write for you! Deployment, parenting 2 under 2 solo, bathing and bedtime, grocery shopping, what deployment books to get for young kids, the works. I can write just about anything if there's a topic. haha My blog has clearly not assigned me anything to write about in a while, thus, the dust. ;)

I'm up for writing something as well. My situation is different but similar, as you know. Whichever aspect you think will be most helpful for your readers, I would love to share. <3

I would be up for writing something, if you still need someone. I had Z during a deployment and then moved across the country with a 1-year old and newborn, to get settled before he came home. I could probably come up with some helpful tips...or just funny stories, ha!
