Stop and Smell the Roses

As you know from my last post, things are not at their brightest. However, I decided to make some hair clips to match Millie's pillowcase dresses (seen here and here), and after trying them on her, I couldn't help but smile a little.

They were so easy, a step-by-step post isn't even needed. Just take a few strips of scrap fabric (mine were about an inch wide and 20 inches long, but you can use any size), braid them, and roll it up into a flower. I sewed the back of them to keep them together, then hot glued them onto a hair clip. They can either be worn as is, or clipped onto a headband.

Scrap fabric and ribbon

Plain scraps from the pillowcase dresses

Ruffled ribbon- instead of braiding this, I just wound it up into a rose.
The middle was supposed to make it look more like a flower,
but it turned out looking like a heart instead.

Cute! =)
And not overwhelming like some massive bows ladies are putting on their poor little girls heads!

Those are adorable. I wonder if grown women can wear them...
