Hug A Hero Daddy Dolls
Sky didn't shrink to the size of a large doll. Our Daddy Doll just arrived!
I recently won one from Mrs P at A Little Pink in a World of Camo (yes, where I was just guest posted during the blog swap!). Even though Sky won't be at school as many months as we originally thought, I added it up, and I realized he'll still be gone with the Army Reserve for a total of 3+ months over the next year. School, AT, drill weekends, etc. add up fast.
I don't write non-solicited reviews, but after Millie dropped her toys and exclaimed, "Daddy!" when she saw me unwrap it, I had to tell you how great Daddy Dolls are. Maybe my non-milspouse friends wouldn't understand (which is why I decided not to put these pictures on Facebook), but I think it's awesome, and apparently Millie does too. She even ditched her trusty stuffed monkey to snuggle with the doll at nap time. That's serious stuff.

That's adorable! I've never seen anything like that here, but my kids all have 'daddy bears' that are build-a-bears in camo that have recordings of DH's voice when you press the paw. They drag those things everywhere!
Love it! I think, if/when there is another deployment, a Daddy doll will be a must-have for our babes - I know a lot of people that have them, and they bring so much joy and comfort to little ones. Awesome!
We got Emma one.. I put a picture on FB of her with it and got comments on how "creepy" it was.
I deleted those negative ones.
She loves hers and takes it with her everywhere!
So sweet! :) That very last picture is especially adorable.
We have one of those same daddy dolls!! The kids *loved* it when Zack was gone this last time :D
My friends son LOVED his daddy doll during deployment. He used it as a pillow when we went to bed haha.
okay.
seriously, the idea at first is kinda interesting, but seeing the child with it...melts the heart. and it's so sweet how they can see him and carry him around then.
those pics of millie with it are seriously DARLING. my word.
Aww this is so sweet! I don't think it's weird at all.
oh my goodness, preciousness defined...
Happy your child is happy. That is what matters most. Personally I prefer the original Daddy dolls the one you can insert different pictures in but as long as your family is happy that is wonderful. Happy holidays.
Why don't boys smile in photos? Oh well, Millie's smile makes up for it. ;)
Awesome! I love these! I wish I had known about them during the deployment.
